It’s missing some gauges and lacks data plates on the glove box. Seller claims it was the first prototype for the Air Force??? Appears to have GPW lids.

UPDATE: I’ve sold out of posters.

Yesterday,the Jeepers posters arrived. They turned out better than the original image.

I would have had most of the posters in the mail yesterday, but instead I spent the day cleaning up the garage. The garage hasbeen a mess ever since Ann’s mother decided to hold her annual Halloween bash, onethat includesanimatronics, pumpkins, bats, furniture, specially made walls, etc, etc.

Ann and I BOTH urged her not to hold it this year, as we had more pressing health issues, but Ann’s mother (how has her own set of health issues) refused to listen to us andheld it anyway. Once Halloween was over (we were in Seattle that night), Instead of cleaning up after Halloween, her mother got sick with a severe bowel blockage. She struggled for several days, throwing up all over. Eventually, we forced her to go to the hospital (she nearly died, because she refused to go to the hospital … Ann had to lie to her, telling the doctor ordered her to go to the hospital to get her cooperation).

On exactly that same day, my dad had a ‘mild’ heart attack, forcing him to the hospital. On top of those two issues, Ann is trying to do as little as possible as we wait for anupcoming surgery near the end of November.

So, this first part of the month has been crazy. Ann’s mother was released on Tuesday night,but needs our help more than ever. Dad was also released from the hospital, but his blood pressure continues to be low;He has also let it be known that he refusesto go through any more surgeries. I can’t really blame him at this point.

Scott has reduced the price of his M-38A1 to $6000.

“This vintage 1954 Willys m38a1 U.S. army vehicle is original 24 volt, runs perfectly, shifts perfectly including 4 wheel drive. as far as I can tell the vehicle is not cut, welded on, or in any other way been severely damaged or altered. The jeep is certainly not perfect or show quality / it shows dents and dings / layers of green farm paint. The floor boards in the front are solid but look as though they have seen minor repairs in the past / the jeep shows little to no rust. The wheels and tires are civilian while the spare is a military ndt with original wheel. The dash data plate shows a 1954 date / the data plate behind the passenger seat is missing / the engine that I replaced did not have a number stamped into it. As it stands this is a solid driver vehicle in great condition that is reliable and mechanically totally sound. I have always kept the vehicle garaged and have used it primarily for Sunday driving or riding around the neighborhood / vehicle has not been abused as an off-roading unit.

Mechanically the jeep was in good shape when I purchased it and over the past few years I have made some improvements and completed routine maintenance.

improvements:
– Summer 2016 – full engine rebuild and installation with correct “MD” stamped military f-134 “hurricane” engine ( done by 1/4 ton military in chickamauga, ga)
– Summer 2016 – new brakes, brake lines, all fluids changed including mechanical housings (done by 1/4 ton military )
– Fuel pump rebuild by kaiser-willys
– Original Carter carb rebuild by kaiser-willys
– Air intake cross-over tube replaced with correct unit
– Instrument cluster removed and replaced non-working gauges
– Damaged seat covers replaced
– Windshield and rubber replaced
– 24 volt waterproof spark plug wires / and new plugs
– A variety of other tasks to numerous to count

Drew of “The Jeep Farm” is selling this M-38A1. It’s got a rare Husky overdrive. You can see more pics of it on the Jeep Farm website.

“I Decided to sell my personal 52 M38-A1 to finance my wagoneer build. It has 51k original miles. I have had this for 6-8 years I think…. I believe i am the second owner (minus military). I purchased from a elderly gentleman’s family when he was in hospice. Still 24volt, all blackout lights work aside from drivers fender light, including the dash. This Jeep has the deep water fording kit (missing tail pipe extension and snorkel extension). New seat upholstery and custom bikini top made from genuine WWII canvas, husky overdrive (rare), rebuilt brakes, add-a-leaf in all 4 original springs, has kelsey hayes renegade 1 wheels with decent 33×10.50×15 bfgs.

Rebuilt carb, rebuilt dual action fuel pump, new gas tank, pickup and sender and two new battery’s (all within last 4 months) has rust on sides (note photos) floors solid but pass floor has typ crack. Some rust in battery box (has a plate over it) You can see all i have done, i painted everything i have touched with the correct simi OD green. The underside is in good shape, original and dirty, some of the “top hats” have rust, Everything underneath and the wheel wells are coated in a thick military under body type paint.

“1951 USN Military Police M38. I’ve had her for a few years and been fixing her up. I don’t want to sell her, but I need to so I can fund schooling.

You can see some of the original stencils under the paint.

Runs and Drives, all lights work. I drive her around town and take her to the local airport Frequently.”

This CJ-5 will be auctioned in Brooklyn this Sunday.

“1965 Willys Jeep CJ5 Tuxedo Park. Body off frame restoration to nice original 4-cyl CJ. Many unique Tuxedo Park features including rare column shift 3-speed, padded dash and fender wells and curved chrome bumper. Kelsey-Hayes “Aristocrat” chrome wheels as dealer add-on. Loads of new and rebuilt parts. Just as clean on the bottom as it is on top. Runs like it looks. $12,500. Might trade for excellent small tractor with loader.”

“For Sale is a 1951 Willys Jeep CJ3A. Original Motor ,Drive Train , Transmission ,Transfer Case etc. Hurricane Flat Head L Head motor. Starts ,runs, drives and stops. Original six volt electrical system still charging battery, Brand new 8 Volt battery starts great and runs well. Could use some plugs and wires at some point but runs good.Headlights work, Horn works. Still pulling fuel from original tank which looks nice and clean and fuel pump as well.

Front Frame horns are in good shape and not all beat up. Original 3A windshield frame is in very good condition with vent door working properly. Frame is solid with no major issues. Passenger front leaf spring pack has a few broken springs but I will be including a nice original replacement spring pack and u bolts. I be-leave Ive got the original oil bath air cleaner as well as some other extra parts that will be included also.
