Flashbacks to back when I was 14 years old and I was at a flea market around my birthday that year and someone was selling an NES for like $70 (had the box and was basically near-complete. It's been 13 years and I don't think they had the paperwork but they had everything else still, I think it was the Deluxe set with ROB and the Zapper) and they had a good bunch of games they were selling too for pretty decent prices from what I remember (at the very least, I knew I had enough money with me to get the console and at least a few games) and I really wanted it but I got talked out of buying it because 'it's old and you don't know if it'll still be working'.
Ugh.
Wish I had gotten it.

Hey everybody, I'm slowly coming back! Went down to Southern California for vacation, spent some time in Disneyland and then we had end of the year rush work.
But now I am free from work for the rest of 2023!

i used to go for walks... during the days i had earbuds to listen to music so i could get lost in my imagination while walking around. i miss those days.
soon i'll get to experience them again, though. i'm going to make it a goal to visit the parks around my city once i get my headphones and spend some time in them. just me, myself, my thoughts and music. peace and bliss. ❤

I WANT to be able to go for walks, but the weather here is always sh*t (especially this time of year, double especially when combined with the fact it's "can't tell the difference between roofs and the sky" level dark by 3pm nyow) syo I haven't really been able to.
On a completely different nyote, I've been watching a lot of "worst songs of 2023" videos and it really makes me think about how much I just don't know what songs are popular or get played on the radio where I live, considering that the vast majority of songs on these lists tend to be either country or rap that don't tend to chart outside of the US...
And seeing songs I LOVED when I was younger on the worst lists for the 2010s feels weird too (though I suppose I only developed an actual personal taste in music that wasn't "just whatever comes on the radio/what videos I get in my recommended" in 2020, and only properly pinned down the individual artists I'd consider my favourites in 2022 and the genres I'd consider my favourites this year).
