I love hosting parties. With Football Season in full swing, I am pulling out all the gear and cheering on my favorite team. I do hate the added pounds I gain from these parties, so this year I am incorporating 5 Easy Hummus Recipes into my standard game night fair. I can eat hummus with pretzels, vegetables, crackers or tortillas and avoid the gooey cheese dips and hot wings that tend to be the star of the show. Ingredients

  • 1 15oz. Can Garbanzo Beans {drain but reserve liquid to be used later}
  • 2 Teaspoons crushed garlic
  • 1 Teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • ⅛ Teaspoon Smoked Paprika
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil

Directions

  1. In a blender or food processor pulse on low speed: garbanzo beans, garlic, cumin, paprika, salt and olive oil.
  2. Gradually add extra liquid from beans if desired to make thinner consistency.
  3. Chill and serve.

  • ½ Cup Canned Jalapeno Pepper Slices {reserve liquid}
